AMI Moose Lodge 1/24/2026
The children’s Easter party will be on March 28th from 10AM until 12PM at the Lodge. The age group for the party is 12 and under. There will be a sign-up sheet at the front door to sign-up your children or grandchildren if you are certain they will attend. (The Christmas party sign-up sheet was a joke for some members. There were 24 children signed up who did not attend the party.) The Easter Bunny will be there to say hi and to take pictures with you!! And of course, the Easter Egg hunt on the Beach!!
Our Annual Pig Roast will be held on March 7th this year. Jimmy’s Pig Out will be serving their amazing food. There is going to be a little change in the menu that we believe you will love. We will also have some amazing entertainment starting at approx. 3PM and going until 10ish, on the beach!! Tickets will be going on sale shortly. Don’t forget your chairs and blankets!
THE FOLLOWING IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!
As you all know the Moose is a private Fraternal Organization and it exists to support Mooseheart, Moosehaven and local communities in numerous ways. We are a 501(c)(😎, Not-for-Profit Organization. This means we CANNOT serve non-members ANYTHING! This includes not allowing a non-member to use your card for any reason, including use of the “Lodge facilities”. There is always someone trying to circumvent the rules. This week there were two people that weren’t members (who did not know they were doing anything wrong because the members omitted the truth) who tried to use a member’s card at the Lodge. Starting immediately, Lodge personnel may ask to see additional identification if they do not recognize or know you. We are sorry that we must do this. The officers are sworn to protect the Lodge and support our children at Mooseheart, our seniors at Moosehaven and the local community. Our employees could lose their positions if they aren’t diligent. This is very serious!
Please do not be offended if you are asked for an ID along with your Moose card. The officers and employees are doing our best to keep your Lodge a special place to visit and enjoy. We are just shy of 19000 members! This is because you believe in your Lodge and sign-up your family and friends as Members.
THANK YOU!
If you have any questions or concerns, please come to a meeting on the 2nd or 4th Tuesdays @ 7PM. Or come to an orientation on the 4th Thursday of each month at 6PM. All meetings are held in the dining room.
Fraternally,
Byron

AMI Moose Lodge November Update
Good afternoon, Members and Friends!
The Grand Reopening was phenomenal! We would like to thank everyone that made it to this special event. We do know that there were a few that received their meals a little later than others, thank you for your patience. The number of guests doubled what we would normally serve, and every meal was cooked to order. We do have a few of the one-of-a-kind cooler cups with “Grand Reopening” and “the date” engraved on them. These can be converted into a coffee cup, cold drink container, or a bottle holder. Please ask about them when you come in. Our staff will be happy to demonstrate them to you. We were also told that our supply of shirts and sweat shirts will be arriving next week.
Please keep in mind that the Lodge has an orientation every 4th Thursday at 6PM. This is the time to come in with any questions or suggestions, we will be happy to address or answer them. We will take the time to explain who the Moose is and why The Moose does what it does for our neighbors, charities and members.
Here are a few upcoming dates to keep in mind. The Lodge will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. (actually, I think it should be the day after, because everybody loves the leftovers, LOL). I received a call from Santa Claus. He and Rudolph have decided to put the Lodge visit on their calendar. Sooo, the children’s Christmas party will take place on December 13, 2025. Starting at 10AM and ending (noonish) when all the little tummies are full (of sugar) and Santa has handed out all the Christmas gifts. Sign-up your children ahead of time on the list on the table in the main hallway of the Lodge.
The Lodge will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day we will be open our regular hours. There will not be a New Year’s Eve party hosted by the Lodge.
Please note that on Friday Nov 28 and Friday Dec 26 we will NOT have our usual Friday night menu (no prime rib, fish or ribs). We will be serving our normal Daily Menu until 7PM.
Please be safe and have a great time over the Holidays! Thank all of you for all that you do for your lodge, Mooseheart, Moosehaven and Moose Charities.
Fraternally,
The Staff of the Anna Maria Island Moose Lodge #2188.
AMI Moose Lodge Upcoming Events Reminder
Hello members and friends. Time is flying by and there are a few events that have been mentioned before, so this is a reminder email. On October 30th at 6PM we are having an Anna Maria Island Moose Lodge orientation. (This orientation normally takes place on the 4th Thursday of each month at 6PM) This will take place in the north end of our dining room. It is an informal meeting that will enlighten you about the Moose Fraternity and your AMI Moose Lodge. We won’t be talking “at you” but with you. We will be having two very special guests that evening. They are Sandy Johnston, who is the first female in Moose International history to be on the International Board of Directors and her husband Harry who is the current Pilgrim President. It will great to see new and current members participating. The Lodge Halloween Party is going to be held on Saturday, Oct 25 starting at 6PM until closing time. There will be Ghoulish food and a costume contest. We may be looking for some judges that can’t be bribed!! There will be a DJ present, so for those of you that think you can sing…. Well, we will leave that up to you!!! Friday Oct 31st is going to be our regular Friday Night Dinner menu. This night is dedicated to seven of our members that have reached 50 years of continuous service to our great Moose Fraternity. There will be a special presentation for them this evening. They have certainly earned our respect. Please come out and help us thank them for their dedication to our Lodge. And of course, enjoy a great meal and a boat load of comradery. Saturday Nov 1st Your Lodge is going to be celebrating the Grand reopening. This event is going to start at 4PM and continues through the evening. This is a ticketed event, and will include a special dinner, filet mignon cooked to your request, crab stuffed shrimp and garlic mashed potatoes. If you have room, I believe that there will be a dessert also. After dinner there are going to be a few introductions and presentations made with our special guests. More specifically, Moose International Chief Executive Scott Hart, Chairman of the Board of Directors John Reiter, and the Grand Chancellor of the Women of the Moose Barbara McPherson. After all the pleasantries are over, we will be entertained By Ted Stevens and the Dew Shots. They will be set up on the patio for your entertainment. They are a great group and do take requests! Once dinner is completed Members that did not have tickets may enter the social quarters or the patio depending on occupancy. There are a few tickets still available in the membership office. Purchases must be made in person payable by cash/check at $34.95 each and there are no reservations. The tickets are not refundable. We are looking forward to seeing you and having a great time! Byron
